Ask what the price includes
- The exact charger model and whether it comes with a cable.
- Labour, cable allowance and the proposed cable route.
- Testing, commissioning, app setup and handover.
- VAT and any separately priced work.
Get any extras in writing
- Longer cable runs, trenching or difficult access.
- Any electrical work identified during the survey.
- Solar or battery integration and additional equipment.
- Removal of an old charger and ongoing support.
Use this as a comparison checklist. The installer must assess your property and specify the work; “standard installation” is not a shared package definition across every company.

Do these prices include a grant?
We have not deducted any grant or assumed eligibility. Ask the installer to separate the full price from any proposed support, and check the current scheme’s official terms before relying on a discount.
Is this the cost of charging the car as well?
No. These examples concern installing the equipment. Ongoing electricity use is a separate cost that depends on your tariff and charging needs.
