Explain what you need before booking.

A charger that has stopped working

Ask whether the provider can diagnose your exact charger and whether it can carry out any resulting repair. Describe what happens when you try to charge, including any error message, without assuming the charger itself is the cause.

A routine service or inspection

Ask for the maintenance scope in writing: what is inspected or tested, what report you receive, and whether parts or remedial work are included. Discuss the schedule appropriate to your equipment and use.

A warranty or manufacturer issue

Have the purchase and installation details ready. Ask the original installer or manufacturer about the support process before authorising paid work elsewhere. Warranty eligibility, parts and labour may have different terms.

What does EV charger repair or maintenance cost?

We do not yet have comparable repair prices. Ask for the call-out and diagnostic charges before booking.

Separate diagnosis from repair

Check whether the first visit only identifies the problem. Ask how labour, replacement parts, travel, a second visit and VAT are charged, and whether the provider will seek approval before additional work.

Compare repair with replacement

If replacement is proposed, ask why and request both options in writing where available. A new-installation package may have different removal or electrical-work costs. Our installation cost guide is a separate comparison, not a repair-price estimate.

EV charger repair and servicing questions

Can someone repair a charger fitted by another installer?

Some providers accept other installers’ equipment; others may restrict support by brand, warranty or installation history. Check the note beside each provider for explicit support of other installers’ equipment. Acceptance for maintenance does not automatically mean every repair is covered; confirm your particular request before booking.

Does an installation brand list prove repair support?

No. We use explicit repair, maintenance or diagnostic statements for this page. You still need to confirm the exact model and whether parts, manufacturer access or warranty approval are required.

Are all the listed services available throughout the UK?

No. The shortlist is small and service areas differ. An office region does not establish call-out coverage. Confirm your postcode, travel charges and appointment availability with the provider.

Can you arrange an emergency repair?

This directory does not provide emergency dispatch or live availability. Contact the provider directly to explain your issue and confirm its response time. Website claims about fast response are not a booking guarantee.
